About Property

This beautiful property is a typical French farmhouse which has been recently renovated to a very high standard.  It is located close to the town of Lodes in the Haute Garonne region of France in the Midi Pyrenees. The door by the summer kitchen leads into the main floor double bedroom. Along the corridor from the bedroom is a large pantry with industrial stainless steel shelving in either side.  Next is the toilet and then the shower room and at the end of the corridor is the utility room with a back door to the covered carport.  

The stairs from the utility room take you to the second floor where there is a small double bedroom to your right and a very large double bedroom to the left. Between these two rooms is the open TV area with it\'s built-in oak bookcase. This area opens onto the mezzanine with wrought iron railings and oak rail looking down at the stone wall, front door and the open living area.  

On the left side is a double bedroom with very high ceilings showing the original exposed oak beams.  Next to this is a tiled bathroom with walk-in shower and double sink.  There is a door to the adjacent bathroom as well as onto the mezzanine area.  On the other side of the mezzanine is the master bedroom with tiled ensuite that includes a walk-in shower.  There is a double height closet with large oak doors.   

There is secure parking in the grounds and in the surrounding gardens of the property, there are mature trees with a very prolific plum tree. A tiled terrace with wrought iron railings extends the entire length of the house with wide steps leading down to the wooden deck surrounding the covered swimming pool.  The pool is kept warm and clean by the sliding plexiglass pool cover. 

Next to the pool is the guest house which is not yet completed. The first fix plumbing and electrics have been completed and there is a brand new wood burning stove and water tank waiting to be installed. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom which need to be completed. Between the guest house and the very large solid oak sliding doors onto the courtyard is a covered lounge area for the hot summer days when you want to keep cool.   This is equipped with lighting, electric and speakers for your relaxation. This area extends onto the terrace.

There are several market towns a short drive away and there is a market every day of the week.  An hour’s drive will take you to the mountains and several popular ski resorts as well as plenty of activities including hiking and cycling. The closest airports are Toulouse and Tarbes/Lourdes which are an hour's drive on well-maintained highways. The seaside is a two hours drive in either direction.
